An Educational Resource for Young People
For grades 9-12
Water is essential for life-indispensible for health and well-being.
Yet nearly two out of every 10 people worldwide have to resort to using
potentially harmful sources of water. It’s a silent
humanitarian crisis that kills some 3,900 children every day.
Water for All provides insight into the
significance of water in people's lives and opportunities by offering
lessons and activities for young people to critically examine the issue
of safe water and its effects on poverty, education, health,
environmental sustainability, and partnerships for development.
What participants can do:
- Examine how much water goes “down the
drain” in our daily lives.
- Scavenge for water facts on the Internet.
- Through the DVD, travel to Niger, West Africa, where safe
water is scarce.
